European Technical Approval
The European Technical Approval (ETA) is a Certification issued by the “European Organisation for Technical Approvals” (EOTA). This Certificate is the equivalent of CE mark found on standardized products and signifies that the production of the manufacturer is consistent and complies with regulations set by EU Directives and Standards (in particular with ETAG 007 guideline).
On 30 April 2013 Q-haus Baltic OÜ, manufacturer of prefabricated wooden houses, received the internationally recognized ETA (European Technical Approval) certificate No: ETA-13/0240 for prefabricated timber frame element and modular houses.
The document was issued by the European Technical Certificates Agency via the Technical Research Centre of Finland (VTT). The application for the certificate was filled collaboratively with enterprise Estonia.
Qhaus is certified as Enterprise that operates following guidelines set by ISO standards 9001 and 14001.
The ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system and it can be certified. Following this standard guarantees highest quality of all the activities carried out by the Company in its premises and in relation with third parties. It also minimizes waste of time by optimizing internal procedures, which in returns guarantees a reduction of operating costs.
The ISO 14000 family addresses various aspects of environmental management. It provides practical tools for companies and organizations looking to identify and control their environmental impact and constantly improve their environmental performance. ISO 14001 focuses on environmental management systems.
The benefits of using ISO 14001 can include:
> Reduced cost of waste management
> Savings in consumption of energy and materials
> Lower distribution costs
> Improved corporate image among regulators, customers and the public
ISO certifications are issued upon verification by audit carried out by an independent and licensed third-party. During the Audit all procedures related to Quality and Environmental Management are reviewed. In particular, Auditors seek to verify that procedures are followed and that consistency can be guaranteed on the output of Company’s activities.
Audit is carried out every year, during last trimester, and the ISO certificates are renewed and issued for the following year. ISO certification is not only a way to improve Company’s productivity while minimizing the cost of the Product, but also a way to guarantee to the Clients that we do meet the highest standards concerning Quality and in respect of the Environment.

Here at Q-haus we use only CE marked products/materials.

This goes for mass production items like timber, screws, metal parts, membranes, insulation and even for custom made products purchased by other manudacturers (i.e. doors and windows).
Using CE approved materials guarantees uniform quality and reduction of unforeseen due to defects of materials, leading ultimately to time saving and optimization of operational costs.
